Welcome to the Navy 10 Miler, hosted by NAS JRB Fort Worth, the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth.
The base dates back nearly 80 years; but, this is our fourth 5 & 10-mile event open to anyone who registers. This event provides you the opportunity to see the many aircraft that are stationed aboard the installation. Whether you are a seasoned runner or just getting started, the Navy 10 Miler will provide you with an unforgettable running experience.
Our route will take you right down the base runway. Along the way, you’ll have exclusive views of some of the aircraft that call our base home, including:

-Marine KC-130J
-Texas Air National Guard C-130H
-Fat Albert, Blue Angels retired C-130T: This Fat Albert had been with the Blue Angels for 17 years and has flown more than 30,000 hours in front of millions of fans!

Geared for both experienced and novice runners, this flat 5 & 10-mile course will provide an excellent opportunity to SHATTER PRs and will be marked with water stations along the way. The 5 miler provides the same air power excitement as the 10 miler in a smaller package! In the fans’ section, we’ll have a finisher festival featuring a variety of vendors and food trucks. Everyone is sure to have a good time!
The Navy 10 Miler is hosted by NAS JRB Fort Worth’s Navy Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) team. MWR provides a variety of services and programs on base to support the mission of the service members.
In addition to receiving a dynamic bib, all runners will receive a T-shirt and a goodie bag filled with items from our sponsors.

Registration cut-off time is 11:59 p.m. on 30 April 2025 or while supplies last. There is a limited number of runner accepted to the 5, 10, and Combo.

Active duty, reservists, veterans, and retirees can register for a discounted rate based on the event. Be sure to select the "Military" option on the registration page. Note that all who register under military discount will be asked to present your Military ID, Veterans Identification Card (VIC), or Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC) when picking up bib and race swag at Pre-Race Expo.
The race is being conducted on a federal military installation. Accordingly, runners will be very limited in what they can carry with them while on the course. Specifically:
- Any item brought onto the course must fit in the runner's pocket or be carried.
- All other bags, cases, and backpacks are prohibited.
- An exception will be made for runners carrying medically necessary items after the bag has been inspected.
- Mobile phone armbands are permitted.
- Water backpacks, water belts, and water bottles are not permitted. (Note that we will have a number of water stations along the course.)
- Any jackets or additional clothing runners have must stay with them throughout the race. These items must be stored in the runner's pocket or carried.
- ADA service animals are permitted. Otherwise, pets are not permitted on the course or at the Finisher Festival.
Outside the main gate, we will have a bag drop station where runners can check in their personal belongings before entering the starting area. The items can be retrieved after the race. Please limit the number of items you bring to the race.
The Finisher Festival will be held in an area just outside the security station. Items permitted in this area:
- Clear Tote – Plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 12″x6″x12″
- Plastic Storage Bag – Clear, one (1) gallon, re-sealable
- Small Clutch Purse – Approximately the size of a hand with or without a handle or strap. No larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″ with or without a handle or strap. Can be carried separately or within an approved plastic bag.
Coolers are not permitted. Please be aware that, as this is a federal military installation, all bags and belongings are subject to a search.
Weapons of ANY kind are not permitted on the course or at the Finisher Festival. (The Texas Carry Policy does NOT apply to our federal installation.)

Runners will gather near the security station located at the intersection of Alta Mere Drive and Ridgmar Meadow Road.
Runners are NOT allowed to park on the base or in the finisher festival area. Free parking is available across the road on the south side of Ridgmar Mall--please refer to the map above. Park in the GREEN section. Follow the orange arrows for the safest walking path to the race entry point. The shoulder of Alta Mere will be coned off to be used as a walking path, and local law enforcement will help escort you to the intersection to get to the race.
Please do NOT attempt to drive onto the base, as all non-military personnel will be denied access. Note that while individuals with a military ID will still be able to get on base, they will NOT be able to access the race starting point.
The race begins inside the commercial vehicle gate, located at the intersection of Ridgmar Meadow Road and Alta Mere Drive/Hwy. 183 (across from the Olive Garden). Note that non-runners will not be able to observe the start or see the runners while they are on the course.
PLEASE NOTE: FOR SECURITY REASONS, ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE REGISTERED FOR THE RACE WILL BE PERMITTED ONTO THE COURSE. ALL OTHERS MUST REMAIN IN THE FESTIVAL AREA. THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.
5 & 10-mile course on the base, no significant elevation change or obstacles.
5 Miler: Minimum 18 minute/mile pace (Runners who do not meet this requirement may be held in a holding area for the start of the 10 miler race)
10 Miler: Minimum 20 minute per mile pace
The race concludes just outside The Commercial Vehicle Inspection station (CVI). This area will include bleachers, space for people to watch the finish, as well as the finisher festival. A detailed map of the Finisher Festival area will be posted at a later date.
Runners will finish in the finisher festival, where we will have a variety of food trucks and refueling goodies for all.

ALL race participants who cross the finish line will be presented with a commemorative finisher’s medal by an Active-Duty Military Member in uniform.
